I’m happy to say that Picture Atlantic was chosen as one of the top 40 bands in a poll put together by Live 105.3 for Best Band in the Bay Area. all but three of my photos from this show got eaten by my corrupt CF card. I’m not too bitter since the lighting was terrible and I didn’t have particularly high hopes for the photos.

A while back, myself and Zen Zenith of Please Do Not Fight were talking about the music scene in the South Bay Area, and the lack of zest and energy that it has seemed to have as of late. Zen is definitely someone who has an immense amount of passion for music, and as cheesy as it sounds, he is someone that truly cares about the state of the music scene (as should all local bands I think, and musicians for that matter). Instead of just saying what we thought was lacking, we decided we wanted to take part in helping put a shot in the arm of the South Bay music world.
What I present to you is our humble attempt at this. Picture Atlantic and Please Do Not Fight would like to present to you, a monthly event that we have dubbed The Rock Hop. This is primarily meant to be a night of quality music, art, and most importantly fun! Our goal is to create a fun environment and atmosphere, and with a focus at a reduced cost for the fans and attendees.
Please help spread the word about this event, and lets get this first annual Rock Hop to be a memorable one. Besides, how can you say no to a show that gives you a discounted price for dressing like a greaser!?
