Ustream, I stream, we all Stream for Ice cream

This last Wednesday night, Picture Atlantic was given an amazing opportunity. I’m sure some of you have heard of a little company called Ustream? Well the people at Ustream asked us to be part of a really awesome release they were doing.

Basically, they developed the very first app that allows you to stream live webcast video from your phone straight to your Facebook page. How cool is that? Where we came in, is that we were the featured band for their official press release and App party at Ustream HQ in SF. We got to share our brand of Southbay Rock with them, and in turn they didn’t call security on us.

Not only were we honored to be a part of this momentous Silicon Valley milestone, but it also gave us all kinds of wild ideas about what to do with this new technology for the future shows and events we play!

Thank you Ustream!

We in Picture Atlantic love Zombies. Not actually LOVE them, because that is illegal, but we have a healthy appreciation for the Zombie/Horror-Survival genre. If you haven’t seen our music video for “Guerilla”, then watch it and you will understand. That is why we are really excited to have the honor of playing the fourth annual Zombie-O-Rama! For those that don’t know what this is, it’s a huge event in downtown San Jose, that is, you guessed it, Zombie themed. Hundreds of people dress as Zombies and do a pub crawl, as well as a fun movie night, with the night ending at The Art Boutiki where we will be playing our Zombie lovin’ hearts out for you all. Be there or be un-dead.

The Sound of Sound

Sometimes it’s amazing what happens when you just sit back and let life take it’s course. A while back I was doing acoustic covers by request. The reason I was able to do this was because of my handy dandy digital recorder, which I lost. Turns out it was hiding in a bike bag in my backyard all this time. Still works great too.

So I guess this means I’ll need to start doing covers again. Thank you bike bag for keeping it safe.
